- Computer-controlled :
Computer-controlled bending does not require previous development of special machine tools. Consequently, it is possible to begin manufacturing or to perfect prototypes very rapidly. However, this technique is used for lower volume batch production because the production rate is lower.

- Mechanical :
Mechanical wire bending is a technique that combines the advantages of precision and high productivity. However, each product requires previous development of specific machine tools for bending. Consequently, this type of bending is the ideal choice for high volume batch production.

This is a technique that we have completely mastered. Mechanical soldering nevertheless requires a certain measure of skill and qualified operators. Thanks to its French workshop and its Tunisian partner, Artifil can carry out this type of operation at a very competitive price.

In addition to soldering, there are several other techniques that can be used to fasten parts together (gluing, clipping, etc.). The choice is based on technical and economic imperatives.

This technique involves coating the surface with an anti-adherent, which can be applied to steel and other metals. It facilitates sliding, reduces noise and increases components’ corrosion resistance.

It is part of the company culture, and that innovative spirit is used to help our customers, in particular through the research office and the industrialisation department.
This is why one of Artifil’s activities, entrusted to highly experienced workers, is the development of prototypes. Further down the line, the company lodges patents for innovative products.

This was the case, for example, with the Viticlip an ingenious device for separating and directing wires supporting vine plants, developed by Artifil.

Innovation in our products, of course – but innovation in our techniques is important too. One example would be the Teflon-coating technique that our company is now offering.

This started out as the solution to a problem raised by a customer. By the time we were finished, Artifil had developed an original process that it can now provide for all its customers.
